What is the 2 Part Training Program?

Our unique two(2) part training and Certification Programs are about maximum flexibility and lower costs...

Part 1 is the theory/academic part of the program, which you can take as a web "Special" package.... From us on-line.... Or you can purchase hard copy manual & CD/ROM or DVD from us or your Instructor.... You will complete the self study quiz questions and then you will take a short test with your Instructor before training begins. (in case you have forgotten important Safety  information)...

Part 2. Is the Instruction and In water Training... Where you will learn and demonstrate new skills, be assessed and evaluated before certification.

  Decompression Diver Technical

 About Our "Technical Decompression Diver"

   

New diver program replacing the old decompression procedures program and combining the Extended range program, offering training and International certification to "Experienced Sports Divers", with Deep Diver and or Decompression Sports Diver, this program is Now upgraded to "Technical Decompression Diver". Only Advanced and Rescue divers from any agency... At two (2) LEVELS.

Level 1. 

This Decompression program is redefining, safe deep diver training, with programs to 50m/165ft.

Level 2.

 To 60m/200ft. and is required to advance to many of our Higher level technical diver programs.

Standards Updates:

Technical Instructors may still conduct the deeper dives with the correct supervision of 1:1 Below 30m/100ft. with an assistant... As per our previous "Extended range diver", to 65m... Providing both the Instructor and student are "Capable"... The depth level actually achieved will be noted on the Certification card...

 

 Why Decompression Diver?

      Sometimes there are excellent reasons to dive deeper; Wreck Exploration - Unusual Marine Life - Research and of course Rescue & Recovery...

  We explain in our deep diver sports specialist program that you should not deep without good cause and a dive objective, and extended range diving is the same.

  The most essential skills in deeper diving are, "A Clear understanding of decompression theory", and "Dive Planning / Gas Management", and "Rescue Procedures"... Decompression diving is about diving to the edge of the envelope, pushing yourself to your "SAFEST LIMIT", under experienced professional supervision...

 What we cover

In this extensive 2 part program we cover (in more detail and to advanced levels):

  • Dive Planning & Execution
  • Gas Management
  • Emergency Management Planning
  • Equipment Configurations & Back up Safety Equipment
  • *Side Mount Module is optional (and available as a Certification or Elective Option)
  • Decompression Theory (Physics and Physiology in Technical Diving)
  • About Hyperbaric Medicine & Deep Diving Accidents
  • Deep Rescue & Recovery
  • Overhead Environment Diving (Overview)
  • 8-10 Open Water Training Dives(Dives may be added for practice or pleasure)

    Although this seems the same as the Sports Deco Program, the Underwater World becomes a much more dangerous place with just 10m/33ft. More of depth...

You can imagine from the training and material covered that this is a very serious diving program, and is ONLY intended for very experienced divers.  *Side Mount is available in this program to be included as an optional module or available as a stand alone certification...

 

 Technical & Specialist  Certifications

Advanced Features:

   This program is a required certification for access/entry directly into our Trimix Entry Level Diver Program and is generally considered to be a Technical Level Training & Certification Program.
