ITDA UK have been established as a business for us since 2004 and the UK has been a very goodmarket for us being a British Owned business and now we are a global business the UK is no less important as it represents our European Business hub. The UK is also an interesting market for local diving and travel. Ireland is a part of Europe and speaks English...

The past few years have been difficult for our UK business and as all businesses have suffered from banks to high street chains... From the financial crisis, we too have suffered.

Now as with many others, we begin our steps back to a prosperous UK future under new management...

About ITDA UK

The UK Diving industry is a unique business as it is well established and yet still shows that it has great growth potential... The UK is generally a cold water environment which offers many challenges and many great rewards for those willing to cope with cold water 7-9 months of the year (depending where you are in the UK)...

For this reason the UK has a large group of people that only dive on holidays and do not want to dive in the UK waters and of course this is fine. We originally created our International club system (see ITDA Club System) for these people, so that they can practise and enjoy training in warm water pools in the UK and then dive, train and explore on their holidays to warmer climates...

The diversity of marine life and the clarity of the water varies greatly around the UK and Ireland, making this region one of the most interesting marine bio-environments in the world... With unique friendly seals and otters, to dolphins, whales and members of the shark family, plus hard and soft coral (cold water species) and some of the worlds best wreck diving...
