Why Resort Instructor?

Because we wanted to create an real entry level Instructor program that Advanced Divers could use as a step process to attain "Sports Instructor Status" without paying a lot of money and taking a long time... So our Resort / Club Instructor Program is open to Dive Masters, Advanced and Technical Divers and offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience training and teaching in order to Upgrade to "Sports Instructor".

  Low Stress!

Our Instructor Program are very low stress....

Low Stress and High Quality because we focus on training you to develop your teaching skills and assessment skills. And because there is no final exam only a pre-exam and modular tests, quizzes and assessments, there is no pass or fail pressure.

That is not to say that everyone is guaranteed to pass, they are not!

People may fail if they are not prepared to learn or to be objective or if they behave badly or do not follow safe diving practices as instructed by staff....

However most people of average Intelligence and a passion for diving who want to learn to be Quality Instructors (not just Average) will have no problems passing the course...

  ITDA Group Professional Training & Certification 

Who can qualify to take the Program?

New Standards from September 2011 will now allow Any Agency Advanced Level Divers with 50+ Dives Experience and a Nitrox Certification and with an "Aptitude for Teaching", entry in to our Resort Instructor Program, (Which may also be run as or also Certify; ITDA Club Instructors and ITDA 2**Star (Cold Water Instructors)

Any agency "Dive Masters or Equal Level", with 6 Months working experience or more may take the resort Instructor Course Program but may upgrade their Instructor Certification to "ITDA Sports Instructor".....

  • Other qualifications include:
  • Minimum 18years
  • ITDA Pre-ITP Instructor Quiz is completed and passed at 85%
  • You must have a minimum of 50 Dives (Open Water) to enter and a minimum of 60 Dives to graduate (training dives in Open Water as logged will count) but NOT Confined Water dives...

 About Resort Instructor

 The ITDA Resort Instructor Program is our Entry Level Open Water Scuba Instructor level, the ITP (Instructor Training Program) at this level is designed to offer candidates a step process to higher instructor levels and qualifications through experience and training in as short a timescale as possible... from just 5-7 days... New Program from September 2011...

This level is unique in the industry as it is limited to "Resort Training Environments" and "Club  Training Environments" Only, with limitations and restrictions on certifications they may issue....

 

Resort Instructors may train and certify the following ITDA Course Program levels:

  • Entry Level Diver
  • Resort Diver - ITDA Club Diver "Limited Open Water"
  • Adventure Diver (Entry Level Advanced Course)
  • CPR First Aid
  • IHMP Dive Medic / Oxygen First Aid
  • Nitrox and Ntech Nitrox Bronze Level (Entry Level Technical Certification)
  • Limited Specialist Diver Programs at Introduction Level 1.
  • Resort Rescue Diver & Aquatic Rescue/ First Responder

    Our unique training standards and the amount of course programs our "Resort Instructor" Can teach and certify make it equal to or higher than most other agencies entry level Instructor Training Programs...Including: PADI "OWSI" Open Water Scuba Instructor which normally is almost twice the cost and with fewer options to teach, train and certify.... ITDA Resort Instructor has three ratings included:

  • Resort Instructor (May Certify: Entry Level Sports Programs to Intermediate Advanced, adventure diver and rescue diver + 6 Specialist Levels)

  • IHMP Dive Medic Instructor (May Certify: CPR First Aid, BLS and Dive Medic, Plus Oxygen and AED Modules) And now also "Aquatic Rescue".

  • Ntech Nitrox Entry Level - ITDA Technical Instructor (May train & Certify: Nitrox to 40% and Ntech Nitrox with basic decompression)

No other industry standard entry level Instructor training program offers more...

PLUS YOU ONLY PAY ITDA GROUP HQ THE RENEWAL FEE FOR YOUR HIGHEST LEVEL... NOT EACH INSTRUCTOR LEVEL YOU HOLD - Like Some Agencies...

For Example if you are a Resort Instructor and also a NTech Instructor you Only pay fees for the Resort Instructor and the Ntech Instructor is included..
