How to become an Assessor Examiner...

This is not an easy task! You may apply with the appropriate proven ability and practical training experience for consideration for the rating of Assessor Examiner, directly to ITDA Group HQ.

If you were to be accepted for evaluation you will then be required to complete an Instructor Trainer and a Course Director Certification Course as a probationary Assessor Examiner.

  Experience?

The minimum experience required is:

  • Ten (10) Years Instrucing/Teaching Experience and at least three years as a Course Director or Technical Trainer...
  • You should be educated to degree or equal level.
  • You MUST demonstrate skills and training abilitites beyond the indusrty standard and be an exceptionally experienced diver.

  What Cost?

At what cost? How much does it cost to become an Assessor?

The costs will be variable depending on where in the World you complete your programs... But from $5,000 to $10,000 USD Dollars....

About ITDA Assessor Examiner

The rating of Assessor Examiner is is ONLY available as an ITDA Group HQ Appointment or Invitation.

Course Directors and Technical Trainers are only considered if they have proven exceptional skills and diving abilibities beyond those normally associated with the Course Director status level...

ITDA Group AE (Assessor Examiner) is a cut above the average and is the highest Diving Trainer qualification available in our Industry.

 

  What do Assessors Do?

Instructor Trainer and Course Director Training

ITDA Group Assessor Examiner may conduct and operate the highest levels of Instructor training and with an ITDA Group HQ Supervising Assessor may Certify Instructor Trainers and Course Directors.

They may also of course be involved in Instructor training programs and may add value to an Instructor training program by adding their exteeme experience to the candidates and to the trainers and staff.

Assessor Examines may also certify / Appoint IHMP Course Directors and Trainers and issue honary Certifications in agreement with ITDA Group HQ or Regional Offices.... 

 

 Are there too many? 

We are very aware of the fact that some agencies have hundreds (100's) of Course Directors and trainers all competing for similar business in busy dive regions...

Over the last ten years we have appointed only a total of 11 Assesor Examiners Worldwide...  So there is plenty of room for more assessors and we have around five (5) assessors coming up for retirement in the next two years...  So there is is a real genuine opportunity....
