About ITDA Technical Dive Leader

Why a "Technical Dive Leader?" - Simply because we needed to create a level that could offer assistance to technical instructors and trainers to help train technical divers, both in class and in-water, allowing instructors valuable time with the students who need it... And also to demonstrate a step career path to technical Instructor in our system.

What can a Technical Dive Leader do:

He or She can act as an Instructional Assistant (semi-Professional or Professional)
Technical Dive Leader may lead Technical Divers on Dives
Technical Dive Leaders are able to conduct, train and certify divers in Basic Ntech
May Train and supervise remedial students and prepare students for assessments
ITDA Group Technical diver leaders are equal to Assistant Instructors

All in all the ITDA Technical dive leader rating is a senior technical diver rating and is well respected in the diving community worldwide.

How to become a Technical Leader

You need to be a technical diver with 1 year or more experience diving, you should hold at least three technical specialist levels (any agency) and have over 100 dives, 50 of which should be technical dives, training dives may be counted.

You will also need to have a strong desire to lead and to help others, to be mature; 18years plus and also be first aid trained with oxygen provider or DAN O2....

There are a number of options open to become certified as an ITDA Technical Dive Leader...

Take a Tech Leadership Training Program
Serve a Tech Leadership Internship with an approved ITDA Pro Tech Centre
Crossover or upgrade from another agency with equal levels
