 Specialist Diver Training covers a wide range of training subject areas and ITDA offer a unique series of training levels to match divers abilities as they progress in training and experience from Introduction / Entry Level, through Intermediate Levels to truly Advanced Specialist levels with over 12+ Dives at advanced Specialist levels..

 ITDA Specialist Diver Levels

We have three levels for each subject area / specialist diving certification program

  • Entry Level / Introduction - For Resort Divers and Above levels or equal any agency.  WHO MAY CERTIFY?  (Any Instructor (any Agency) with the acceptable level of training, Certifications and Experience may train and Certify for ITDA Group at this level, after registration and approval by ITDA HQ)
  • Intermediate Level - For Sports Divers and Above levels or equal any agency.  WHO MAY CERTIFY?  (Any Instructor (any Agency) with the acceptable level of training, Certifications and Experience may train and Certify for ITDA Group at this level, after registration and approval by ITDA HQ)
  • Advanced Level -  For Advanced Divers, Specialist or above - ITDA Group Divers Only!  WHO MAY CERTIFY? ONLY ITDA Group "Certified and Approved" Advanced Specialist Instructors May train and Certify to the Advanced Levels... 

The Specialist programs at each level have a minimum number of dives from 4 to 8 dives to certify, depending on the complexity of the training... And theory from just 2 hours to over 20hrs... Per training module.

Academic Theory for Intermediate and advanced levels may be taught and certified as two part training programs and some may qualify for credits in higher learning and be accepted as part certification towards our Higher Education and Professional Programs.

 

  We will allow divers from any agency meeting the entry requirements to take ITDA Group Specialist Diver Training to level 1 and 2, but level 3. Advanced Specialist is restricted to those who have completed  levels 1 and 2. or ITDA Group Advanced Divers...

  When you are certified as an ITDA Group Specialist Diver, you are really a "Specialist Diver" in that subject... Some agencies require only one (1) or two (2) dive to be certified advanced specialist, we ask how is this possible?  (To be an advanced specialist diver with so little actual diving skills or knowledge.)

 Two part Certification

What is two part Certification?

 Very simply it is the process whereby you may take the academic theory module as a separate classroom study program or On-line course as a part 1. And gain a Certificate in that subject, prior to taking the practical training which is the part 2 Certificate and certification relating to becoming a diver in that "Specialist Area"... The two part process will normally apply to any ITDA Group Training & Certification Programs that have a high degree of academic study associated with them... 

Timescale limitation with the two part program: Three Months / 90 Days is the maximum time permitted between completing study and beginning the part 2 training. After this timescale you will be required to take a full quiz on the academic subject matter and pass with 85to % overall grade B+. Prior to being allowed to take the in water practical training and your Instructor will charge you for their time and taking the quiz...

We also have a complete briefing system and short knowledge assessments and skills evaluation prior to each in-water training module. as additional safety measure, especially with difficult or dangerous training levels...   Our First Priority is your SAFETY and Well-Being...
