ITDA Rescue Training Methods

Our training methods are unique, as we have taken standards from the Military and Coastguard services from around the World and created an Industry specialized series of training programs to meet the various differing needs of our members from basic rescue skills for Scuba Diving to advanced rescue for Technical diving, with specialist modules for specific rescue problems like: Wreck, Recovery and Cave Rescues which all hold unique risks for the rescue teams.

Rescue & Emergency Management

At ITDA Group we train Fire and Rescue Services in Public Safety and both Surface and Under Water Rescue Skills training including low and zero visibility search and recovery and Advanced Life Support Skills.

We also train and Certify in Emergency Management using underwater communications and Command and Control systems.

ITDA Group has Four (4) Rescue "Diver" Certification Levels

These Rescue Programs will push you to your physical and mental limits, in skills that can save your life and others in a diving emergency...

ITDA Group Rescue & Rescue Diving Programs Four (4) levels are:

  • Sports Rescue Diver Program. You will learn about self rescue, seamanship and water survival skills, Buddy rescue, Diver Lifts from depth, conscious and unconscious. Surface Rescue and panic diver control. Oxygen First Aid is included.  See: Sports Rescue Diver
  • Advanced Rescue Diver.  You will extend your current knowledge of rescue skills to include: Advanced Life Support, 2+ Persons rescue and advanced rescue and life saving techniques and exercises.(May involve deeper diver & Mixed Gas) This is simply an extension of the sports rescue program to deeper depths and more rescue skills, plus Advanced Life Support.  See: Advanced Rescue Diver
  • Aquatic Rescue Program. which is designed for Life Guards, Resort Staff and anyone who may need to safely conduct a water rescue who is NOT a professional and needs only surface rescue skills and first aid for aquatic injuries from drowning to marine life injuries. See Aquatic Rescuer
  • Professional Rescuer. & (Public Service Rescue Diver). Fire Service, Police, Coast Guard and Military. Most people think about completing rescue training simply because it is on the path to becoming a dive leader or Instructor... And some agencies do not promote rescue diving until after advanced diver.
